i could not believe

scattered , heavy, unexplainable
thoughts.

happen.
no one got along 

that day.
slamming doors loud voices
confusion and pain
18 years of memories
too many friends
too many drinks
too much love
to just be left
with out the solid goodbye

i wished my family and i shared.
the first return was my
last
boring, plain, no character
stranger
almost
mixed emotion
resentment

attitudes.

hunger

thirst

and disease

thrive in countries

families

suffer

while the rest of the prosperous

world

is worrying about

the latest greatest

cell phone.

what is a cell phone?

do they even know?

they ask questions like

will there be enough to

eat tonight

will my child make it 

another 

day

where will we be able

to stay warm

tonight.

we should be

embarrassed

for this absurd

lifestyle

we live.

I cant 

comprehend

how we can let this

happen
